Kindergarten

The kindergarten at the College is located on the ground floor. It is designed to serve the children of the students and staff of the College.

There are generally around 10 children in the kindergarten from the age of 1 to 6 years. The children are often from different nations, but we primarily speak Danish.

There is always a qualified kindergarten teacher in the kindergarten, assisted by one or two volunteers (most often internationals).

Our facilities are well-equipped for children of pre-school age, with a play room including climbing equipment, a slide and other assorted indoor play equipment as well as an outdoor playground. Both the indoor and outdoor facilities are at your disposal outside the kindergarten's opening hours. There is also a play room (King’s Castle) on the third floor of the College where parents have the ability to follow the current class via video monitor and wireless receivers for headsets.

The kindergarten’s opening hours are from Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. at which point the children join their parents for the afternoon break. The kindergarten opens again from 1:40 p.m. to 3:30p.m. During seminar weeks, which are scheduled once or twice per term, the timetable of the College is changed, but we strive to adjust our opening hours accordingly.

We love to offer the children many sorts of creative activities such as singing, dancing and listening to music. We also read books as a class and engage the children in conversation. We endeavor to facilitate

outdoor experiences for the children every day. Our desire is to give the children a headstart on a well-rounded development.

The purpose behind all that we do is to let the children know that they are valuable in the eyes of God and men. Our desire is to meet the children with unconditional love while providing a place with healthy boundaries.
