School of Leadership

The School of Leadership is for those expecting to take on a role as a leader of the church or those occupying any leading position in the church. It is our vision to raise a generation of servant leaders.

»You will be challenged on three levels: leading yourself, leading others, and leading leaders.«

The School of Leadership offers a 2-year program of in-depth studies on the following topics:

Understanding Leadership: A key to forming and implementing vision change and strategic decision-making,
Understanding our world: To foster a global perspective that can bring meaningful interaction and change,
Understanding the Church: In terms of its nature and purpose as God’s instrument of healing and reconciliation,
Understanding management: To facilitate organizational development and efficient use of resources,
Understanding people: in order to help them discover their own uniqueness and so get the best out of them,
Understanding the Kingdom: A theology of what the Kingdom is – a future hope and a present reality.

Students are exposed to a variety of teaching methods, including case studies, discussion groups, lectures, writing assignments as well as interactive workshops and projects.

The School of Leadership consists of two 9-month courses from September to July, each containing three 3-month terms.
Qualified teachers with diverse theological and denominational backgrounds are a part of the school of ledership: Peter Prothero, Jørgen Mortensen, Johannes Hansen, Kenneth Skov, Else Marie Hansen, Helen Monk, Henrik Holmgaard, Bent Bjerring-Nielsen, Martin Bergsøe, Lars Pugh and others.

The School of Leadership is taught in English with simultaneous interpretation into French.
